A new informative note intended to help reporting entities, in particular those belonging to the banking sector, mitigate the inherent risks related to terrorism financing by means of a series of recommended actions, is now available in the "Other Publications" section.

The technical communiqué CT-04/2019, regarding the update of the FATF’s list of high-risk countries, is now available in the "Applicable Technical Communiqués" section.

The Permanent Committee (PC) for the prevention and fight against money laundering and terrorism financing has approved the Resolution 1/2019, of the 23rd of May 2019, by which the inclusion of entities to the designated persons and entities list established in article 48 of Law 14/2017 is agreed, in order to apply the appropriate restrictive measures. This resolution replaces Resolution 1/2016, of the 25th of February 2016.

A new technical communiqué, that repeals the previous technical communiqué CT-02/2015 on cash transactions, is now available in the "Applicable Technical Communiqués" section.

Both Authorities have ratified today their willingness to collaborate by replacing the 30th of November 2012 agreement for a new one that upgrades and safeguards their powers.

The Moneyval has published the first follow-up report of the 5th round of mutual evaluations of the Principality of Andorra:

This report analyzes the progress made by the Principality of Andorra and the new measures that have been put in place since the mutual evaluation conducted in 2017, in order to comply with the FATF Recommendations. The Moneyval has re-assessed the ratings of 12 Recommendations, in particular:

· Recommendations 3 (money laundering offence), 12 (politically exposed persons), 16 (wire transfers), 22 (DNFBPs’ customer due diligence), 23 (DNFBPs’ other measures) and 34 (guidance and feedback) have been upgraded to a "Largely Compliant" rating.

· Recommendations 2 (national cooperation and coordination), 11 (record keeping), 15 (new technologies), 20 (reporting of suspicious transactions), 21 (tipping-off and confidentiality) and 32 (cash couriers) have been re-assessed as "Compliant".
