FATF (Financial Action Task Force)

FATF GAFIThe FATF is an inter-governmental body established in 1989. Its main objective is to set standards and promote policies, both at a national and International level, on the fight against money laundering and terrorist financing, and assess compliance of its Member States.

The FATF monitors the progress of its members in implementing necessary measures and policies on prevention of money laundering and terrorist financing, reviews its techniques and counter-measures, and promotes the adoption and implementation of appropriate measures globally. The FATF collaborates with other international stakeholders involved in this fight.

It is also important to highlight that the FATF also publishes the list of high-risk and other monitored jurisdictions.
